ERKIR NAIRI’s signature ethnographic tours combine visits to ethnographic museums (Sardarapat, Erebouni Fortress, and the Museum of National Art), creative participation in national celebrations or festivals, and exposures to the daily life of typical Armenian families. The Vardavar water festival has been among the favorite holidays of Armenians for centuries. As part of our innovative ethnographic tourprogram, we organize and conduct our own festival on Vardavar with immediate participation of our guests. They learn how to weave a traditional Khachbur talisman, enjoy national live music and dance, and taste every dish prepared by traditional recipes specifically for the Vardavar feast.
